Making Genius playlist of iTunes

The Genius feature in iTunes can help you discover new music that you haven't heard before, but it can also make the music you already have in your iTunes library to you in new ways-in particular in the form of genius playlist.

Genius playlists are different from playlist created yourself or even smart playlists, that are created based on criteria that you determine sort order. Genius playlist using the collective intelligence of the iTunes store and iTunes users to create playlists that torque related songs together and make playlists that will play great (or so Apple claims).

By applying this genius, believe it or not, it takes almost no work at all. Here's how it works.

First, make sure you have iTunes 8 or higher and have Genius on. Then find the song you want to use as a basis for the playlist. Once you've got, create playlists or clicking the "Genius" at the bottom right of the window (it seems that an atom – some rings with balls on it) or right click the song and choose "start Genius".

Top 8 iPhone Apps shopping

top iphone shopping appsSnapTell, Inc.

SnapTell (free) is one of the coolest applications I've tested over time, and has become my constant companion at the library. Just take a picture of any book (or video CD, DVD or game) and the app will pull up prices, user reviews and nearby shops. The application works incredibly well, and it recognizes obscure novels, as well as bestsellers. The barcode scanner does not work so well, but the image is quite good, without it. Total: 4.5 stars out of 5.

How does iPhone multitasking

Until the release of iOS 4, iPhone could – with a very few exceptions – to perform only one app at a time. Now, however, iPhone running iOS 4 you can take advantage of multitasking and run multiple applications simultaneously.

Or can they? Despite the hype on the introduction of the iPhone multitasking, this isn't the multitasking, which we have become accustomed. Here's what you need to know.

Not father, multitasking
In the traditional sense that we have become accustomed to on desktop computers, multitasking means being able to run multiple app at the same time. Enough Apps don't work like that of iOS 4. Instead, with the exception of certain types of applications listed below, applications do not run at the same time, however, that they move very quickly.

Quick change of app
Rather than offering traditional multitasking, iOS 4 uses something Apple calls quick-change app. This means that when you click the home button to leave an app and return to main screen, the application crashes essentially where you were and what they were doing and brings to it, when you start the application again. So instead of restart every time you pick up where you left. This isn't really multitasking, but it is a pleasant experience.

But some applications running in the background
All that said, there are some types of applications that can run while running other applications (aka, running in the background). More information on what types of applications can be run in the background.

How to access App Switcher
To access the quick-change app, quickly double-click the home button on the center of the face of the iPhone. This most grey screen and reveal a set of icons at the bottom. The icons you can swipe left and right to see the applications installed on your phone. Tap an icon to start the application.

As applications are sorted
Applications in tray switcher app are ordered based on what was most recently used. This is done to group applications you use most frequently so you don't have to scroll too to find your Favorites.

Using iTunes Video Rentals

The video rental service works only on iTunes as well as all other services you've come to expect from iTunes store. Just visit your store, find the desired content, pay and download. But because there are so many other options when it comes to iTunes movie rental, and DRM because the stuck to them is a little more complicated than with any other offer of the iTunes store, there are a few steps involved. This step-by-step guide will guide you through the process of renting movies from the iTunes store.

To begin with, of course, you must go to the iTunes store to rent movies. Also you need set up an iTunes store account, if you don't already have one.

Start moving in the movies section of the store by clicking on the menu item to the left.

Not every movie from the iTunes store is still available for rental. Once you're in the movies section, there are three ways to find the location.

Explore the contents of the new location check box on the front page of film section.Hotels Apartments using search to Just the right menu. Browse the selection of films of iTunes Store and see if you're interested in film can be rented again. This is probably the method slower and less efficient, but hey, it's your time!

iPhone/iPod HD after crash

Even if you don't have a backup of your database, you have at least some backup data on your iPod/iPhone. Depending on what synchronized to the device, you will have at least some music, film, TV, applications and data on your iPod/iPhone. You can transfer data to the new hard drive/computer in two ways: by using the command of transfer in software purchases of copy/RIP iTunes or iPod.

Purchases of transfer will only move items purchased on iTunes Store from the device to your computer, but it's a start. To use this, plug your iPod/iPhone (and not synchronize it!), go to file – > transfer purchases.

2 iPods, 1 PC: Mngmt Screen

More and more homes have more iPod and a single computer. That leads to the question: How do I manage multiple iPods on one computer?

There are a number of techniques for this; more complex technique that you choose, the more control you have over the Synchronizing music and other content to your iPod. This article is perhaps the easiest way to manage multiple iPods on one computer using the iPod Management screen. Easy to configure and manageAllows all the music to be stored in a library (simple) possibility to sync music not controlAllows wantLess all the music to be stored in a library (potentially confusing)

While this is probably the easiest way to manage multiple iPods on one computer, it is not the most accurate.

1. to start, connect the iPod first (or iPhone or iPad) you want to manage begin synchronization. (If you are by setting your iPod for the first time, be sure to uncheck the box "automatically synchronize the songs on my iPod" in step 7.)

2. at the top of the standard iPod Manager screen are a number of tabs. Find one with tag "music" (where it is in the list will depend on which device you're sync) and click it.

3. On the screen, there are options for selecting which music will be synchronized for the iPod. The following check boxes: "sync music" and "Selected playlists, artists, albums and genres." Be sure to leave the checkbox "automatically fill space with the songs".

4. in each of the four boxes below--playlists, artists, albums and genres--you will be able to see the contents of your computer's iTunes library. Check the box next to the items you want synced to iPod in each of the four areas.

(This is where the lack of control. For example, if you only want some songs from an album of data, you can do; You must synchronize the entire album. If you want only one album by a particular artist, be sure to choose only that album in the album box, rather than everything from that artist in the artists. If you don't, someone could add other album that machine, and would end up their synchronization without meaning. See how this can get complicated?)

5. After you have selected everything you want to synchronize your iPod, click the Apply button in the lower-right corner of the window. This save these settings and synchronize the contents that you chose.

6. unplug the iPod and the repetition of the process for all other iPod models that you want to use with this machine.

Many iPods/1 PC: user account

Families may prefer sharing a computer not mix all files and programs. Not only that it can get confusing and hard to use, parents may want to have some content on your computer (like an r-rated film, for example) that can access, but their kids can't.

This problem becomes particularly important when there are more iPads, iPod or iPhone all be synchronized on the same computer. A way to effectively manage this situation is to create individual accounts on your computer for each family member.

This article concerns more iPod to computer with Manager user account. Other methods of doing this include:

Manage multiple iPods on one computer with a user account is very easy. Everyone needs it, really, you create a user account for each family member.

Once this is done, when such a member of the family you register on their own account, it will be like they are using your personal computer. They'll get your files, settings, applications, their music and nothing else. In this way, all the iTunes libraries and synchronization settings will be completely separated and there will be no complications among people who use computer.

Start by creating a user account for each family member that will use the computer:

Once you've done this, make sure all family members know their username and password. You must also ensure that whenever a family member is done via the computers accessing from their account.

With this fact, each user account will work as is your computer and each family member will be able to do what they want in it.

Yet, parents may wish to apply content restrictions in iTunes their children to prevent access to material mature. To do this, access the user account of each child and follow the instructions for configuring parental controls iTunes. When setting the password there, be sure to use a password other than the child uses to access your user account.

Use multiple iPods, 1 computer

If you aren't concerned about mixing, music, movies, applications and other content that any person who uses your computer puts into iTunes, using the management screen of IOS is a solid option.

With this approach, you choose the content from each of the tabs in the desired management screen on your device. Other people using your computer do the same thing.

The negative aspects of this technique include allowing only a setting for parental control of content and can be imprecise (for example, you can just some music from an artist, but if someone adds more music by artist, could end up on your iPod).

So even though it's messy, that's a very simple way to manage multiple iPods.
